The LBW Trust is a for-purpose organisation dedicated to levelling the playing field in education.

Cricket is the common thread of The LBW Trust, uniting people, communities and corporations in our vision of learning for a better world.

Education empowers people and changes lives for the better by providing hope for the individual and their families and by becoming a vehicle for change in their communities and countries.

A more educated community is more equal, where women, in particular, earn more, marry later, have fewer children, have, in turn, more educated children and lead a more equal and better life.

Established in 2006, we have supported more than 15,000 disadvantaged students in developing nations to receive a university or vocational education. We currently support 2,500 students annually.

We also support more than 258 projects in country libraries throughout Australia.

The-LBW-Trust-Reach

The LBW Trust is structured around the three pillars of Community, Education and Impact.

Education Committee

The Education Committee is responsible for oversight and stakeholder management with each education partner.

The  Education Committee’s function is to manage relationships with education partners, including annual reports and ensuring that funding translates to impactful outcomes in their communities.

National Backyard Cricket

National Backyard Cricket (NBYC) leverages the nation’s love of cricket.

The NBYC committee organises community and corporate events to raise funds for improving libraries in rural and regional Australia and for supporting educational initiatives in developing countries.

Together we work to transform disadvantage into opportunity, allowing students to Learn for a Better World.

Women For Change

Women for Change supports the education of young women in need, both in Australia and internationally.

A committee of The LBW Trust, Women for Change was formed in 2016 and since that time has supported hundreds of young women from Kenya, India and Nepal to achieve their goal of a tertiary qualification, a good job and a better life.

In addition to raising money to support young women, the committee works closely with on the ground partner organisations to help them provide holistic support for these young women including health and wellbeing, personal development and mentorship.

The committee also seeks to work with talented professional women in Australia to empower and mentor them and to engage them in philanthropy.
