In Anusha’s Words

I am truly grateful for the opportunity to share my story with you today. Growing up in a middle-class family, the dream of pursuing higher education always felt out of reach. The financial burden of college fees weighed heavily on my family and me, leaving me with doubts about whether I could ever make that dream a reality. But everything changed when I discovered Prerana, an NGO that opened a door to a future I had never thought possible.

After completing my 10th grade, I heard about Prerana through friends. Their mission to support underprivileged students in accessing higher education deeply resonated with me. I knew this was the opportunity I had been searching for, so I applied for the scholarship with hope in my heart. The entrance test was tough, but my determination paid off, and when I was selected, I was overwhelmed with relief and gratitude.

With the financial support of Prerana, I enrolled at Swami Vivekananda PU College and completed my PUC. I then pursued a BCA degree at Vishwa Chethana Degree College, where I continued to receive the scholarship. Throughout my academic journey, Prerana’s assistance alleviated the constant worry about expenses, allowing me to focus on my studies and perform to the best of my ability.

Upon completing my degree, I took a leap into the IT industry, securing a role as a junior developer at Rubixe. The support I received from Prerana didn’t just help me through college—it shaped the course of my entire career.

Today, I stand here with a sense of accomplishment and pride, knowing that my dreams are no longer limited by financial constraints. The opportunity to grow and succeed, both academically and professionally, was made possible by the belief that Prerana had in me.

I’m also grateful to The LBW Trust for their continued support and investment in my education and future. It’s thanks to Prerana and The LBW Trust that I’ve been able to pursue my passion for IT and build a fulfilling career.

In Arvind’s Words

I am Arvind Siddanna from Kalaburagi, a graduate of R.V. College of Engineering. I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude to Prerana NGO and The LBW Trust for the invaluable support I received during my academic journey.

It was my first time leaving my hometown for higher education after completing my diploma. I was fortunate to gain admission to R.V. College of Engineering in Bangalore, but being from a middle-class family, adjusting to the new city, environment, and financial challenges was not easy.

A friend of mine informed me about Prerana and its scholarship program, which encouraged me to apply. I was honoured to be shortlisted for an interview and selected as a scholarship recipient. My family and I were overjoyed when I received the news.

I was granted the scholarship for three years, covering the duration of my undergraduate studies. This financial support eased the burden on my family and allowed me to focus on my education without worrying about finances. Apart from the scholarship, I greatly appreciated the workshops on Sundays, where I had the opportunity to interact with fellow students, improve my communication skills, and receive valuable guidance from Ram sir. Additionally, I was able to get technical books and enjoy wholesome meals at Prerana, which made my journey even more enriching.

I am now working as a PCB Design Engineer at Tessolve Semiconductor Pvt. Ltd., and as I reflect on my journey, I am filled with immense gratitude for the opportunities and experiences that Prerana and The LBW Trust have provided.
